Antonin Berthe

Antonin Berthe is a PhD student since october 2021 in STEEP team at INRIA and in the Olivier Vidal’s ISTerre team.
The thesis he is working on is the «Analysis of systemic energy transition scenarios under stocks and flows constraints : risks and feasibility», directed by Pierre-Yves Longaretti, Olivier Vidal and Emmanuel Prados.

Its aim is to conceive and adapt a dynamic model on energy and raw material allowing simulating multiple pathways for energy transition, constrained by resources and flows of the energy system (fossil and raw material supplies, technological deployment rates, electric grid capacities, …)
The model aims at answering following questions:

• What would be possible energy transition trajectories ?
• How would they be caracterised ?
• What would be the regional implications ?
• Which pressures and impacts would it generates ?
• Which risks this transition would imply ?
