Quentin Desvaux

Quentin Desvaux is currently working on a CIFRE thesis that brings together three partners: Grenoble Alpes Métropole and two research laboratories, the CREG (Grenoble Economics Research Center) and the Inria (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology). He is a member of the STEEP team and of the Metropole’s waste management and treatment planning department. This thesis is a continuation of his internship on the quantification and modelling of bio-waste flows in the metropolitan area, which he carried out as part of his Master’s degree in Energy Economics and Sustainable Development at the University of Grenoble. Quentin’s work falls within the disciplinary fields of territorial ecology and political economy, which seem appropriate for understanding urban metabolism and the material flows that correspond to it, while at the same time being interested in understanding the metabolism of social systems.
